Hamond Industries Ltd Acquisition by Bohne Spring Industries Ltd
I am pleased to announce that Hamond Industries has been acquired by Bohne Spring Industries Limited. I am confident that our combined capabilities and resources will allow us to meet or exceed the requirements of our customers.
Hamond equipment and personel will be moved to the Bohne Spring Industries location at 60 Coronet Rd, Toronto, on or before November 30th, 2007. We expect the transition to be seamless.
If you are a customer of Hamond, these are the points you need to know.
* If you have placed orders with Hamond already, people from both organizations are already hard at work to ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts.
* If you have not yet placed orders with Hamond, but expect to need parts delivery in calendar year 2007, you should place your orders now with Judy @ Hamond Industries 905-761-9094. There will be some production downtime associated with the move, and the sooner we know your requirements, the better.
* Orders for delivery in 2008 can be placed with Hamond at the number above until November 15th.
* If ordering after November 15th please call Bohne Springs Sales Staff at 416-231-9000 and ask for Chris Wharin, Donna Simpson or Maria St. Amour. You will be able to refer to your parts using the same numbers you are used to, but please mention that they are Hamond parts, to avoid confusion.
* If you have tooling which resides at Hamond, it will be moved to Bohne automatically.
* The staff of Hamond will be moving to Bohne. You can be assured that your parts will be run to the same standards and quality as before.
* Bohne will honour all existing blanket purchase order prices to the end of the current blanket purchase agreement, and all prices for non-blanket orders already accepted by Hamond. New orders will, of course, need to be reviewed.
* During the transition, we will ship and issue invoices from Hamond Industries Ltd until October 31st, and ship and issue invoices from Bohne Springs after that point. In order to keep the books straight, cheques to cover Hamond invoices should be made out to Hamond, and Bohne invoices likewise made out to Bohne.
If you are a supplier of Hamond, here's what you need to know:
After October 31st,
* New purchase orders will be issued by Bohne, although some will specify a Hamond delivery, and some a Bohne delivery.
* some post-processing orders will go out from Hamond's current location and ask to be returned to the Bohne location. Other orders will go out and come back to Hamond. Therefore, we ask you during this period to pay special attention to what is written on the paperwork.
* After October 31st, Hamond receivables will be paid by Bohne.

* Bohne brings new capabilities to Hamond customers. For instance, Bohne makes coil springs, which should assist customers who wish to consolidate vendors. Bohne also has an extensive short-run and prototyping department.
We are convinced that the combined team of Hamond and Bohne should add significant value to the customer relationship. Both companies build on long traditions of family ownership and high employee loyalty.
